English, a global language plays a great role while applying to and studying at UK universities.
Different courses have English language requirements varying either from 6 to 7 overall bands in IELTS, IELTS UKVI, or TOEFL while GRE depends upon the course you want to enroll in, clearing the required bands or score is a requisite to land in your dream university.
IELTS
International English Language Testing System(IELTS) for UKVI (United Kingdom VIsas and Immigration) is a secure english language testing by the UK government to assess a candidate’s English caliber.
NOTE: The only difference between IELTS and IELTS UKVI is the test report about which you don’t really need to stress yourself up.
Is it compulsory to give IELTS?
For entering into a UK university you need to appear for IELTS or IELTS UKVI and score the minimum bands required to be eligible for the same.
You can substitute IELTS UKVI with IELTS or TOEFL too but either way, giving one of these is mandatory.
TOEFL
Test of English as a Foreign Language(TOEFL) is another English proficiency test taken around the world to analyze the English ability of non-native speakers.
Is it compulsory to give TOEFL?
For entering into an UK university you need to appear for TOEFL and attain a minimum score required to be eligible for the same.
You can substitute TOEFL with IELTS too but either way, giving one of these is mandatory.
GRE Test
Graduate Record Examinations(GRE) is an aptitude checking competitive exam undertaking which depends upon the course you opt for.
Is it compulsory to give GRE?
More than being compulsory, it is beneficial to give GRE as a good GRE scorecard can save your good amount of money.
GMAT Test
Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT) is a test for measuring your aptitude in mathematics, verbal skills, and analytical writing.
Is it compulsory to give GRE?
It is not mandatory but a good score can boost your chances of scholarships for an MBA or any Business related course
